'STA Partners with PSU' to Sign MOU Advancing Thai Education and Enhancing National Competitiveness in Alignment with the Thailand 4.0 Strategy
Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA) has joined forces to advance Thai education and strengthen the country’s competitiveness, aligning with the Thailand 4.0 national strategy for driving economic growth. Representing STA, Ms. Nuchanart Chaiyarat (third from left), Group Manager of Human Resource-NR, and Ms. Jiraporn Norsakul (second from left), Corporate – HRBP Manager, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic collaboration under the “Curriculum and Corporate Partnership Program” with Assistant Professor Dr. Niwat Kaewpradap (third from right), President of Prince of Songkla University (PSU), alongside the university’s executive team at PSU's campus recently.
This partnership aims to co-develop and design cooperative and work-integrated education (CWIE) programs, combining academic learning with hands-on professional experience through internships at STA. The collaboration focuses on equipping new graduates, seen as the critical drivers of Thailand's future, with skills that align with the demands of the labor market in southern Thailand and the Southern Economic Corridor (SEC).
STA will support students from PSU’s Faculty of Management Sciences and Faculty of Engineering, providing them with opportunities to engage in real-world work experiences. This initiative enables students to apply theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems while co-designing assessment and evaluation processes with the company. The goal is to produce highly skilled graduates who are ready to work immediately, improving their employability and increasing the speed at which they secure job placements.
This initiative reflects STA’s commitment to its ESG principles, prioritizing social responsibility, environmental stewardship, governance, and economic development. As a key focus area for Sri Trang Group, these efforts are part of its broader vision to drive sustainable growth while fostering the development of high-quality graduates who contribute to Thailand’s progress.
