Sri Trang Group Strengthens Business with AI and Data, Conducts Executive Training to Enhance Workforce Capabilities and Propel the Organization into the Future

To strengthen its workforce continuously, the company has implemented intensive training programs, inviting world-renowned AI experts to conduct specialized training for over 70 executives. This initiative aims to enhance employee capabilities, sharpen the company’s competitive edge, and reinforce its position as the world's leading integrated natural rubber enterprise.

Mr. Veerasith Sinchareonkul, Chief Executive Officer of Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA), the world’s leading fully integrated natural rubber enterprise and Thailand’s largest rubber glove manufacturer, stated that Sri Trang Group has established a strategic policy to transform into a future-ready, technology-driven organization. By integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into operational processes and leveraging data analytics to enhance business efficiency, the company recognizes the critical importance of developing its workforce one of its most valuable resources to ensure readiness in adopting AI and data-driven innovations.

Following the announcement of its business strategy last year, Sri Trang Group has actively integrated artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies into its operations and production processes. In addition, the company has launched various training programs and workshops to equip its workforce with the necessary skills.

Most recently, on January 9–10, Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA) and Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (STGT) organized an AI training program for over 70 executives in Hat Yai, Songkhla. The training was led by Mr. Alvin Ng, an expert in AI and digital transformation, and covered three key courses:

  1. Empowering Senior Leaders to Drive AI Transformation and Social Impact – Focused on enhancing the capabilities of senior leaders in spearheading AI-driven transformation while generating positive social impact.
  2. Strategic AI Leadership, Visionary Roadmap, and Leading Change for Sri Trang’s Future – Designed to equip leaders with the strategic vision and roadmap necessary to drive AI adoption and innovation for Sri Trang’s long-term success.
  3. Building Scalable AI Solutions with Robust Data Governance and Leadership for Change – Emphasizing the development of scalable AI solutions, strong data governance, and leadership strategies to manage organizational change.

This initiative underscores Sri Trang Group’s commitment to fostering AI-driven innovation and strengthening its competitive advantage in the industry.

Mr. Alvin Ng is a distinguished faculty member at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and the Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University. He specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Digital Transformation. Additionally, he is a founding member of the World Economic Forum’s Digital ASEAN Skills Task Force.

Beyond academia, Mr. Ng has extensive experience in senior executive roles at several leading global corporations, further reinforcing his expertise in driving digital innovation and transformation.
